Who we are
Mercy for Children International (MCI) is a 501(c)(3) Christian mission organization founded in March 2025 and based in Texas, USA. Governed by a dedicated Board of Directors, we are also a registered non-governmental organization (NGO) serving communities in Southern Africa, with a primary focus on Zambia.
Rooted in evangelical theology, MCI exists to glorify Jesus Christ by raising a new generation of authentic disciples and worshippers. Through holistic outreach and sustainable development, we strive to transform the lives of vulnerable children, families, and their communities demonstrating the love of Christ through both word and compassionate action.

At MCI, we are deeply committed to the future of children, families, and their communities. Our vision is grounded in discipleship, education, and compassionate care. Most of our staff and field workers are African nationals who intimately understand the cultural, social, and spiritual needs of the people we serve. Our focus is on rural, underserved communities bringing hope where it’s needed most.

Our Mission

We partner with churches and mission-minded allies to expand our global impact, protect children, and share the hope of the Gospel through compassionate action.
Our Beliefs
We are a Christ-centered organization rooted in the authority of Scripture.

What We Do
Education:
Delivering accessible, quality education to children in rural and underserved areas.
Feeding Programs:
Providing nutritious daily meals like porridge to combat hunger among school-aged children.
Evangelism & Church planting:
Sharing the Gospel through Bible teaching, Vacation Bible School, the Jesus Film, and relational outreach.
Agriculture:
Training children and their families in sustainable farming and animal care to enhance food security.
Construction:
Building shelters, classrooms, chapels and safe spaces for orphans and vulnerable children.
Water & Sanitation:
Drilling wells and constructing hygienic toilets to improve health, sanitation, and reduce disease in the communities
Skills Training:
Empowering young mothers and teens with practical vocational skills like sewing, carpentry, and more to help generate income to their families.
Medical Outreach:
Providing health education and mobile clinics to serve remote underserved communities with essential healthcare.
